History of the World

OK, here we go…

First the was nothing, then God said “Let there be light” and the world was created. Then he made Adam and Eve, and they had two sons, Cain and Able. Well, Cain killed Able, and then eventually the great flood happened, but Noah had built an Ark and put two of everything else on it.

Time passed, and Pharaoh built the pyramids, but he used the Hebrews as slaves. Moses led the Hebrews to freedom into the promised land. Then he was given the 10 commandments.

Then more time passed, and there was David and Goliath and some other stuff, but eventually Jesus was born.

Then thirty years passed, and Julius Cesar was king of the Roman Empire. He ordered Pontius Pilate to crucify Jesus. But Jesus came back three days later.

Next, other stuff happened, like the great wall of China, and then it was the time of kings and castles and vikings and stuff like that.

After a long time that ended, and the Christopher Columbus discovered America. All of the Europeans wanted to come over to America, but the Indians were already there. The Indians had too much land to use, but didn’t want to give it away, so there were wars and stuff.

Eventually, the wars were over, but then there was another war with England, because America wanted to be free, but England said no.

The Americans won that war, called “The Revolutionary war”, and George Washington became president.

But then there was another war, The Civil War. This was was fought by the North and South to free the slaves. The president at this time was Abraham Lincoln. The North won, and the slaves were all set free.

Then some more time passed, and it was World War One. Germany was trying to take over the world, but the rest of Europe and America stopped them.

Next was the Great Depression, and everybody was broke.

Then came World War Two. This time, Germany was led by Adolf Hitler, and teamed up with Japan. This war started when Japan did a sneak attack on America. The rest of Europe and America stopped them this time, too, by dropping a nuclear bomb on Japan.

After the war, America was no longer friends with Russia, so there was a cold war.

Next was Vietnam, and some riots and stuff.

Then came the moon landing. (Apollo 13)

Then came President Kennedy, then President Carter, then President Reagan (during his time cable TV was invented) President Bush, President Clinton, President George W. Bush (during his time 911 happened) and finally President Obama.

….and that is the history of the world up to date.
